Twisted Frequencies 02 is a collection of the finest sounds from Twisted Frequency & sister T-Freq Digital imprint, programmed and blended by Brighton-based DJ and Twisted Frequency A&R man Tim Sneath. Tim is part of Sonic Safari, a group of Brighton-based DJ’s who organize and play at some of the best parties in the city - and more recently in Ibiza, France and Australia. Known and loved for his modern genre-blurring style, Tim selects the best elements from the underground and masterfully weaves his enthralling, hypnotic DJ sets. In this mix, we feature the finest remixes and original tracks from Twisted Frequency, including Audiojack, D-Nox & Beckers, Sam Ball, Briskser & Magitman as well as label boss James Harcourt - and many, many more. The mix kicks off with the distinctive tech-house/breaks fusion of Audiojack’s “Al Arab”, gathering momentum & energy before reaching V1 speed with exclusive track “Dizzy” from Visionary. The mix gets gradually more twisted before finishing up on James Harcourt’s remix of Tyrrell’s classic “LaLaLaLaLaLa”, another exclusive to this compilation.

The original mix of Neoteric's "Imprecation" (TF014) was featured on the Essential Mix on Saturday night. The mix came from Germany's Mason - responsible for the club anthem "Exceeder" in 2005. The original mix has also just been released on 12" vinyl, and is available from all good record shops. The full Essential Mix tracklisting can be viewed here.

For our 16th release we’ve brought back the duo who kick-started the label back at the start of 2006 – Israel’s Brisker & Magitman, on TF001. With a tougher new sound, the boys deliver a riffy, energetic track with their usual trademark deluxe production value. Sitting somewhere in the tougher zone between progressive, techno and electro, this track is one for the bigger occasions. The James Harcourt remix takes the same theme and takes it into tecchier waters, whilst keeping the toughness and energy. Both tracks are peak timers and both have had a massively positive reaction during the promo phase.

Twisted Frequency head for housier waters with an upbeat release for summer. "Mea Culpa" is a fresh sounding James Harcourt original track with an infectious hook & groove. Rising Australian star and Ministry of Sound recruit Anthony Maniscalco is drafted in for remix duties. With big remixes for Stanton Warriors and Bass Kleph - and further remixes for the likes of CR2 & Spinout, Anthony has created a name for himself with his tough, groovy style and superb production & arrangement skill. He delivers a mix on which goes a touch deeper, whilst keeping things tough, funky and melodic - surefire dancefloor destruction!

Freelance studio engineer John Poole - a.k.a Neoteric - gives us a brilliant piece of music with an angry name! His work here is a twisted yet melodic track where synthlines twinkle, twists and mutates over a chunky drum track. The James Harcourt Twisted Mix goes darker and tecchier whilst upping the energy for the dancefloor. The grimy bassline is distinctive of previous works such as Invasion and Arachnofunk, whilst the original parts of 'Imprecation' are sliced, slashed and soaked in fx to build a new vibe. Grab it here on digital, or vinyl in a few weeks time!

TF013 is a new E.P from James Harcourt to be released on Monday 28th April on Digital - and 12th May on Vinyl. It has been described as “easily his best work to Date”, been charted on promo by many DJ's including being #15 right now in Dave Seaman's monthly chart and having been sought after by Sander Kleinenberg's "Little Mountain" label among others. The title track “Call & Response” is a shuffly groover which is impeccably produced and arranged. It will be sure to get the floor grooving and has picked up nothing but positive responses from all who have heard it so far. The second track “The Trinity” is James’ personal favourite of the moment. It goes tough – very tough – and as the slammin groove builds to the point of explosion, it defuses and rebuilds with controlled power. This is an absolute dancefloor destroyer!

Part two of James Harcourt "Invasion" comes with remixes from two Twisted Frequency favourites. First up is Dr.Bass from Russia, who has a trademark chunky electro-tech sound which rips up dancefloors with drama and tension. It's all about the breakdown and drop with this track - it goes right off! On the flip comes 2020 recruit Kriece, from Australia. Kriece takes a fragment of bassline and builds a bouncy, bass intensive slice of tech-house coolness which will shake any club to the foundations!
